Suited & Connected Issue 43
Illuminating human relationship chemistry via the CROWNLINE Method
Welcome to issue 43 of Suited & Connected©! 😊😊😊
CrownLine, an emerging relationship analytics company, is making available tools and a ‘playbook’ that enable functional understanding of the CROWNLINE Method, which can help an individual identify people to connect with to attain a happier and more prosperous life. The CROWNLINE Method provides for actionable insights according to birthdates, revealing which individuals are best to link up with— be it a friend, mentor, coach/trainer, babysitter/nanny/caretaker, lawyer, wealth management advisor, wellness and healthcare expert, veterinarian, teacher, business associate, sports teammate, or even a soulmate.
CROWNLINE Method, founded by Todd Anthony Person, fuses elements from mathematics (e.g. Fibonacci sequences, sacred geometry), a deck of playing cards, neuroscience, psychology, numerology and astrology. Birthdates correlate to certain numbers and suits on the cards - and there are identifiable patterns found via algorithms in which certain cards match well or, conversely, are divisive when engaged with other cards.
Just as there are different symbols and diagrams used in geometry, chemistry, and engineering, in the CROWNLINE Method a regular deck of playing cards with its Symbols (Suits), Numbers and Colors all have a meaning in providing relationship compatibility insights regarding a particular person at hand, according to their birthday. Card alignment can manifest in a variety of forms:
Exact same cards (e.g., 3 of Diamonds to 3 of Diamonds)
Matching one number (e.g., 3 of Spades, 3 of Hearts)
Matching a same-suit (e.g., 3 of Clubs, 9 of Clubs)
Being suited and connected (e.g. 3 of Diamonds to 4 of Diamonds) in their first card called ‘the birth card’ or their second card known as the ‘astrological ruling card’
Additionally, CROWNLINE Method analysis extends beyond the individual’s birthday and associated cards; ‘Family Tree’ chemistry, which includes CROWNLINE Method analysis of birthdays and associated cards of parents and child, can identify alignment, dis-alignment or neutral alignment. The boost associated with alignment can offer an offspring heightened performance, fame and success.
In this 43rd issue of Suited & Connected, we examine the chemistry between comedian duos, comedians and comedy writers.
But before we get started, did you know that medical doctors agree, and studies have shown, that laughter is good for the body? Whether you’re chuckling at a sitcom on TV, quietly giggling at a newspaper cartoon, hearing a knock-knock joke, or watching via YouTube a favorite comedian doing a hilarious routine, laughing does you good. According to the Mayo Clinic, laughter is a great form of stress relief, helps the body heal, as well as fends of diseases (an immune system booster). In sum, laughter enhances one’s physical, psychological, and social well-being.
In this issue of Suited & Connected©, we examine birthday compatibility between the following people:

Brooks and Sam Simon, the series is a satirical depiction of American life, epitomized by the Simpson family, which consists of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. Groening and Brooks had same birth cards (10 of Diamonds), while both Groening and Brooks were ‘suited and connected’ to Simon— Groening’s and Brooks’s 10 of Diamonds birth card to Simon’s Jack of Diamonds ‘birth card’
Before he got into the world of television to co-creat The Simpsons, Matt Groening (pictured above) was an underground cartoonist. He started drawing the comic strip “Life in Hell” in the late ‘70s, and it soon became a cult hit around Los Angeles. One of the people who became a fan of “Life in Hell” James L. Brooks, was looking for somebody to create little animated bumpers for “The Tracey Ullman Show” and connected with Groening.
James L. Brooks ) is an award-winning, prolific American director, producer, screenwriter and co-founder of Gracie Films. He co-created the sitcoms The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Taxi, and The Simpsons, and directed the films Terms of Endearment (1983), Broadcast News (1987) and As Good As It Gets (1997). He received numerous accolades including three Academy Awards, 22 Emmy Awards, and a Golden Globe Award.
Sam Simon (June 6, 1955 – March 8, 2015) co-developed with Matt Groening the animated series The Simpsons, which premiered on the Fox network in 1989 and has remained on air ever since. Simon attended Beverly Hills High School, where he was on the football team and served as a cartoonist for the school newspaper. He later attended Stanford University, graduating in 1977.Simon had not wished to attend college, but Stanford persuaded him to apply due to his sufficient grades and proficiency at football; Simon quit the football team after one day. Simon drew comics for The Stanford Daily, a college newspaper, but was denied admission to a drawing class for not being talented enough. As he recalled to the Stanford alumni magazine, he was told, "You'd be taking the space of a student who has talent."
Cheech Marin & Tommy Chong, Cheech & Chong
Cheech & Chong (Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong) are a comedy duo founded in Vancouver. The duo found commercial and cultural success in the 1970s and 1980s with their stand-up routines, studio recordings, and feature films, which were based on the hippie and free love era, and especially the drug and counterculture movements, most notably their love for cannabis.
Cheech Marin, born July 13, is the 2 of Diamonds/8 of Spades; Tommy Chong, born May 24, is the 8 of Clubs/6 of Diamonds. The duo had same number cards (8) —among their birth and astrological ruling cards (8 of Clubs) and 8 of Spades, respectively.
Richard Pryor & Gene Wilder, co-stars in comedy-buddy movies
The screen duo of Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor was one of the greatest pairings of comedians American cinema had ever seen, and together, the two made four feature films between 1976 and 1991. With an innate understanding of one another’s comedic sensibilities, whenever Wilder and Pryor shared a scene together, hilarity was almost a certainty, as they could expertly adlib and always get the best out of one another. While both performers had acclaimed careers as individuals, they accomplished some of their best work together in their movies: Silver Streak (1976), Stir Crazy (1981), See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989); Another You (1991). “Silver Streak” and “Stir Crazy” were big commercial successes, together grossing more than $150 million at the box office.
Funnymen Richard Pryor (right) and Gene Wilder (left) in the movie Stir Crazy (1980). The two first met on the eve of shooting the 1976 comedy Silver Streak in Canada. According to accounts, it was a modest encounter: The two exchanged friendly greetings and expressions of admiration for the other's work and went their separate ways. The next day, they got to work together on camera for the first time. Recalled Wilder in a 2007 interview, "He said his first line, I said my first line and then this other line comes out of him... I had no idea where it came from, but I didn't question it, I just responded naturally – I didn't try to think of a clever line... I said what came naturally in the situation... then he went back to the script, then he came away, and everything we did together was like that." This back and forth formed the basis of four feature films and spawned some of the most famous one-liners of the past 40-plus years, though their off-screen relationship lacked the same easy flow that made them such a pleasure to watch on screen..
The on-screen comedy chemistry of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder was universal — pictured above is a movie poster in Swedish of the hit film Stir Crazy. A buddy comedy featuring Wilder and Pryor as two friends falsely accused of robbery, they must navigate the challenges of prison life and eventually devise a plan to escape. The duo's comedic chemistry is evident throughout, with Wilder's innocent naïveté contrasting well with Pryor's street-smart sarcasm, making it one of the most successful comedies of its time
Richard Pryor (December 1, 1940 – December 10, 2005), was born December1. the 4 of Diamonds/6 of Spades, & Gene Wilder (June 11, 1933 – August 29, 2016), was born Jerome Silberman on June 11, the 6 of Diamonds/4 of Spades. The duo made two pairs: they matched two numbers (4 and 6). Also their birth cards were same-suit, even-even (4 of Diamonds to the 6 of Diamonds). Furthermore, their astrological ruling cards were same suit (Spades). Says Todd Anthony Person: “Pryor and Wilder matching both suits and two numbers was their special pattern that prompted them to achieve success that would result in four hit movies. “
Dave Chappelle & Neal Brennan, co-creators of Chappelle’s Show
In 2003, Dave Chappelle landed his own show on the Comedy Central cable network, entitled Chappelle's Show. Chappelle received three Emmy Award nominations for the wildly popular and controversial show, which frequently addressed race relations and featured musical guests. The provocative comedian not only gained the attention of popular TV personalities such as Oprah Winfrey and Inside the Actor's Studio's James Lipton, he was offered a massive TV deal from Comedy Central after only two seasons, a reported $50 million for an additional two-year contract.
Chappelle’s Show opened with Dave Chappelle being introduced over the instrumental from the song “Hip-Hop”, from the album Let’s Get Free by Dead Prez. Chappelle would perform a short stand-up in front of a live audience. The focus would then shift to a pre-recorded sketch. The show was notorious for its handling of the topic of sexuality and Chappelle’s casual usage of racial epithets. Chappelle performed sketeches that premiered intricate cultural topics such as prostitution, the entertainment industry, gun violence, numerous drug references (particularly marijuana, alcohol, PCP, crystal meth and crack cocaine) and music. The show often closed with a musical performance by a hip hop or soul artist.
Neal Brennan is an American comedian, writer, producer, director, and podcaster. He is best known for co-creating and co-writing the Comedy Central series Chappelle’s Show (2003-2006) with Dave Chappelle and for his Netflix stand-up comedy special 3 Mics (2017). In 2024, he has a show on Netflix, Blocks, that is getting rave reviews — well, at least that’s what Jimmy Fallon said to Brennan when interviewing him on The Tonight Show.
Dave Chappelle, born August 24, is the 2 of Clubs/King of Clubs; Neal Brennan, born October 19, is the 3 of Clubs/9 of Hearts. The co-creators of Chappelle’s Show are ‘suited and connected’birth cards 2 of Clubs to the 3 of Clubs.
Jeremy Pevin (Ari Gold) and Rex Lee (Lloyd), actors in Entourage
Entourage is an American comedy-drama television series that premiered on HBO on July 18, 2004, and ended on September 11, 2011, after eight seasons. Two characters in the series stand-out — Jeremy Pevin plays Ari Gold, a boorish and smart (Harvard-educated for undergrad, University of Michigan for law school) agent; and Rex Lee plays “Lloyd”, Gold’s assistant who, according to Lloyd’s diary, has answered over 80,000 phone calls, picked up 104 loads of dry cleaning, and endured 21,900 homophobic or racially insensitive slurs — but he wil have to endure a lot more in order to make agent.
Jeremy Piven, born July 24, is the 4 of Clubs/10 of Hearts; Rex Lee, born January 7, is the 7 of Spades/4 of Diamonds. Piven and Lee have same number (4) amongst their birth and astrological ruling cards.
Ricky Gervais & Stephen Merchant, co-creators of The Office
The Office is a British mockumentary television sitcom first broadcast in the U.K., created, written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. It follows the day-to-day lives of office employees in the Slough Branch of the fictional Wernham Hogg paper company. Gervais also started in the series as the central character, David Brent. The show’s hilarity and success spawned an American version, When The Office came over from the U.K. to the U.S., its future was up in the air until the folks running the American version realized Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell) isn’t ‘just an asshole’, but a ‘well-meaning asshole’.
Ricky Gervais, born June 25, is the 5 of Clubs/9 of Clubs; Stephen Merchant, born November 24, is the 9 of Hearts/Jack of Clubs. Gervais and Merchant have the same number (9) amongst their birth and astrological ruling cards.
